Rex And Lisa Talk Things Over
Soon after Lisa had a pop at him this morning, a scorned
Rex visited the Diary Room, perhaps to say that he was quitting?
Anyway, shortly afterwards Lisa offered him the chance to
have a chat, determined not to let the obnoxious chef get
away with constantly needling people and taking the mick'.
So, the pair subsequently had a little pow-wow, during-which
Rex offered to stop talking to his older peer. However, in
response Lisa said, "No, just talk to me normally".
Rex said that he was surprised Lisa couldn't just brush off
his pee-taking comments and admitted that he's often sarcastic,
but Lisa dubbed him 'annoying' too.
However, Rex claimed that he's not like that on the outside
and was only doing it to get nominated and evicted. Furthermore,
he tried to differentiate between being annoying and being
insulting, suggesting that he is never the latter. Lisa begged
to differ, stating that she'd been insulted by his culinary
The 40-year-old sales rep effectively accused Rex of being
nice to certain people like Kat because he knows she's popular
on the outside, and in response Rex told Lisa that Kat wasn't
thinking well of her after her 'silly outburst'.
But having been told that he dishes-out too many put-downs,
Rex agreed that he would show Lisa more respect from now on.
Lisa later told Luke that Rex always takes things too far,
and stated, "Many a jest is said in joke". She meant
to say 'many a true word is spoken in jest', suggesting that
Rex often means what he says but tries to make-out that he's
joking. Indeed, we see this all the time with his cutting
comments aimed at best mate Mo.
Anyway, on the face of it Lisa and Rex have turned over a
new leaf, but how long will it be before the bad-feeling rears
its head again?
