Kat's Catchy Cookie Song
The Big Brother Orchestra struck-up this afternoon for a
practice session, but the housemates sounded better before
they actually played their instruments.
For the group tried a bit of 'beatboxing' in the bedroom,
led by Darnell and Rex.
Sylvia danced along to the vocal percussion session, as
the individual housemates emulated the sound of their particular
instrument. And pretty good it was too!
With Kat playing a pair of upturned plastic crates rather
than her timpani drums, the tune – When The Saints Go
Marching In – had a kind-of carnival feel to begin with.
However, it soon got messy when all of the faux-instruments
came in, and sounded like a right din when Dennis started
his usual singing-slash-shouting.
But when the performance ended, Kat changed the words to
the traditional marching song... and we'll give you three
guesses which baked foodstuff featured in the new lyrics?
You' got it: cookies!
Here's how it went, Kat-style:
'Cookie pow-er, cookie pow-er, cookie pow-er er er er er,
cook-ie pow-er, cookie power, cookie pow-er, cook-ie pow-er'.
It made for a really catchy ditty, with a number of Kathreya's
peers singing along to the alternative biscuit-based lyrics.
Things weren't all good though, as Big Bro later dubbed the
ensemble's efforts at playing their proper instruments 'atrocious!'
