The Newbies Interview For Two Nominators
New boys Gerry and Seany formed a brilliant double-act this
afternoon, as they interviewed their fellow housemates for
the job of 'Nominator', with two vacancies available.
Sat behind their desk in the wood-panelled board room, the
pair were like a comedy duo, with Gerry playing the serious
one and Seany just mucking about.
Still, the procedure was very interview-like, as the rest
of the housemates were called-in one-by-one and asked to explain
why they should be given the job. They were also asked to
give examples of their reasons for nominating, without giving
away who they would choose.
However, the two bosses had a little conflab in-between each
candidate and seemed to have clashing views nearly every time,
making for some very amusing viewing!
Amanda was up first and she went down well with the pair,
with Gerry particularly liking her reasons for wanting the
job. They were less impressed, however, with her unboardroom-like
Chanelle admitted that she would find the job hard, so Seany
took over and decided to test her dancing skills instead!
Charley arrived wearing a short summer dress, which Gerry
later deemed an effort to influence them by baring flesh.
When asked if she wanted the job, Charley had no hesitation,
saying, "I would like to nominate, yeah".
The 21-year-old then waffled-on for a while, claiming that
she's good at keeping the House clean and would nominate based
on who respects the House.
With Charley not pausing for breath, Seany had to interrupt
her, and by the end of her interview she was telling them
how to do their jobs, saying, "Choose carefully".
Not too cheeky then?
Seany got Charley to strut to the door on her way out, declaring,
"I don't know if I liked her," the second she'd
Laura impressed the boys with her reasons for wanting the
job, although things went a bit bizarre when Seany put forward
a scenario about needing to pee on a bus with no toilet.
Getting into the interview-like spirit, Laura was worried
that the uniform might not fit her, but she needn't have worried,
because they were looking for naked Nominators apparantly!
Seany tried to get the big girl to do a crab or handstand
on her way out, but Lauz was having none of it and just left
the normal way.
Nicky took things quite seriously, even though she was made
to don a pair of heart-shaped comedy specs. She waffled-on
about seeing the bigger picture and being considerate, before
urging the bosses to be fair in choosing the nominators.
"To be honest, we'll probably just pick the names out
of a hat," said Seany straight faced, after having asked
the 28-year-old Watford girl to dance an Irish jig while the
bosses clapped along. "That was brilliant," declared
Gerry at the end.
For Sam's interview they donned the silly glass themselves,
and tried to keep straight faces as Gezza made it clear that
a Basic Instinct style leg-uncrossing manoeuvre wouldn't work
on account that they're gay.
Seany introduced himself as 'the fit one', getting a snipe
in at Gerry in the process, and they quizzed Sam over whether
she could handle the pressure.
Shabs' interview started well, with her bouncing in and telling
Gerry he's handsome and Seany he's creative. About whether
she wanted the job or not, Shabs first said that she wasn't
fussed, but then kind-of changed her mind.
The 22-year-old went on about how she doesn't judge people
straight away, and even discussed how the eyes are the windows
to the soul, and how hair represents a person's strength...
however she'd already mentioned her own very hairy legs. Ewww!
In the end, the lads had to call Security to remove her,
but Shabnam had been really good fun, even if she did talk
too much. Okay Chewbacca legs, you can leave now!
Tracey was asked to explain the definition of 'having it'
(having a phat time in front of a large stack - got that?)
and Zig was made to wear giant purple shades and cracked-up
over how serious the bosses were taking things.
Ziggy stated that he would nominate whoever brought the morale
of the group down, but it would be up to Gerry and Seany to
decide whether he got the job.
Stick with BBO to find out which two they choose.
