The Crowd Has Spoken II
On Day 1 we wrote an article about the crowd's reaction to
the incoming housemates, speculating about how it might affect
the longevity of their game (see here).
Tonight, the crowd has truly spoken... and it's not good news
Having heard a little of the crowd's 'Get Charley out!' chant
when Seany arrived, the housemates spent a fair bit of time
discussing the issue tonight.
Of course, Charley was the most vocal, but Nicky also got
concerned that the chant might have been about her,
having discounted Ziggy, Lesley, Tracey and Charley –
basically, everyone else with an 'ee' ending to their name.
Getting stressed-out, the banking executive said she needed
to prepare herself for eviction, but frankly, she has nothing
to worry about yet.
Seany later came clean that he'd heard Charley's name mentioned,
however in a subsequent conflab with Ziggy, the unemployed
Londoner accepted that Seany was probably just being malicious
But she wouldn't let it go, whinging to Gerry about the matter
and ignorantly referring to Seany as, "Your one, who
came in with you". A diplomatic Gerry just said it was
probably all in her head, but we know otherwise!
Charley later challenged Seany again, to see if he was winding
Almost repeating her recent comment where she basically dissed
anyone who attends evictions, Charley told him dismissively,
"You've gotta' remember that this show is nationwide.
It don't matter about a little audience that have got free
tickets to come on a show".
However, the crowd have spoken and in this case they were
very much representing the general public feeling towards
the mouthy wanabee WAG.
That's why we don't think Channel 4 should take any steps
to stop it happening again, even though the fans have arguably
influenced Seany's opinion.
So what? The show is made for us fans and, via the Entry
Night crowd, we've had our say and put a cat amongst the pigeons
at the same time.
Roll on nomination day!
