Orlaith Wants To Go Home
After last night's near five-against-one verbal assault in
the lounge, Orlaith is feeling more homesick than ever before,
and had a bit of a blub in the bedroom today.
Consoled by unlikely pal Craig (is he really anyone's pal
apart from the obvious person?), the Belfast beauty was also
geed-up by other housemates, who were perhaps feeling guilty
about the harshness of Kemal's challenge last night?
"It's only another three-and-a-half weeks," said
an upbeat Eugene in an effort to cheer the glum model up,
but Orlaith suggested that she only had a four days left as
she'd probably be leaving on Friday.
(She may be right).
"I'm just thinking about my family. I just want to get
out and see my friends and be able to control myself in the
outside world," said the girl who had big ideas about
taking-over as top dog, but has ended-up with no real allies.
Geordie boy Anthony did his best to comfort the 26-year-old:
"Just enjoy this experience," he advised before
suggesting that she give it more time.
That said, it's not easy when you don't fit in, but can a
'newbie' contestant ever really fit-in when they've entered
the House a month-or-so after the other contestants?
Next time, Big Bro wants to 'nick our idea, which is to put
ten newbies in a room and let the existing housemates spend
a day 'interviewing' them for the job of Big Brother latecomer.
We know that Makosi chose Orlaith and Eugene to graduate from
the Secret Garden, but think about it, if the majority of
the group had chosen the newbies themselves, surely those
people would have stood a much greater chance of integrating
with the group?
