Nominees Announced, But 'Save & Replace' Task To Come

The Third Round of nominations took place today, and after all twelve housemates had visited the Diary Room, the result was that Dave, Shabby and Sunshine became nominees.

The same three were 'up' after the first round of nominations, and this is the third week in a row that Dave and Shabby have become nominees. However, for the third week in a row there will be a 'Save & Replace' task to ultimately determine who faces the public vote.

In the first week, for the 'Hickory Dickory Dock' challenge, the three nominees had to complete an assault course. Dave was the fastest across the course and won the chance to replace himself as a nominee. The religious man chose Rachael, who was duly evicted on the Friday night.

Last week Shabby won the 'Scooter Slide' challenge, being the only one of the four nominees to complete it, which allowed her to replace herself as a contender for eviction. She put Mario in her place, but he was as safe as houses and her pal Govan got evicted by a landslide at the 2nd Eviction.

It remains to be seen who will be victorious at the third challenge.

We still think these challenges – which are set to continue throughout the series – are great, because they make things less predictable (e.g. Racheal's eviction, Shabby saving herself). That said, the producers have been accused by fans of having a collection of tasks in their armoury, and just choosing the one that best suits the person they want to save.

However, if they were to start announcing the challenges the weekend before the nominations actually took place, such accusations would be irrelevant.

Anyway, we'll let you know who nominated who, and actually confirm who's facing eviction this week, in due course.
