Love At First Stare?
Fans may have cruelly referred to Michelle as limpet, klingon,
shark eyes and 'bunny boiler' due to her almost stalker-like
obsession with Stuart, but last night the placid Macclesfield
boy confirmed that they are an item.
Referring to their relationship, which appeared to have stalled
when Michelle entered the bedsit, Victor quizzed, "So,
you and Michelle... boyfriend and girlfriend? Just good friends?"
"Boyfriend and girlfriend", confirmed Stu, matter-of-factly.
So it's serious then.
Today, his doting 'better half' has even been planning holidays
in the sun, encouraging Stu to suggest, "It's 'gonna
be action satisfaction when we get out of here, innit?"
However, we wonder if the only action she's likely to see
will be the 'elbow' or 'boot' kind, as he once and for all
escapes the gaze of her steely stare!
Fellow 'Team Handsome' members, aka Stu's buddies, have suggested
that there's no future in the relationship. However, it could
turn out to be a romantic success, despite the fact that previous
Big Brother relationships have been a bit hit-and-miss:
BB1's Sada had a short-lived lesbian fling with Nicola from
the same series, while BB1's Nasty Nick got together briefly
with BB4's Justine and prior to that, with BB2's nutball teacher
Dullards Nush and Scott from BB4 had a little something going
on for a while, and BB1's Tom shacked up with standby contestant
Claire, had a baby and then split up after a few years.
However, Sophie 'Alright Mate' Pritchard and boring muscleman
Lee Davey from Big Brother 3 got together after the series
ended and eventually married last year.
But the most memorable coupling so far is undoubtedly that
of dizzy hairdresser Helen 'I Like Blinking I Do' Adams and
car designer Paul 'I've Lived My Life Like An International
Pop Star' Clarke.
With plenty of coded talk about 'stuff' (nookie), the couple's
romance innocently blossomed as they remained in the game
and canoodled in The Den during Series 2 in 2001.
Three years on, the happy couple are still very much together,
so there's hope that Michelle and Stu could settle down, build
a nest and have some little 'chicks of their own.
