2nd Live Challenge: Pass The Parcel
The 2nd live Saturday Night Challenge has been passed by
seven out of the remaining ten housemates.
The challenge, a game of the kiddies birthday-party favourite
'pass the parcel', was played as normal: the parcel was to
be passed around the table and when the cheesy music stopped,
the person still holding it would remove one layer of glittery
However, in a special BB twist the recipient also had to
answer a question to decide their fate for the rest of the
As the parcel zipped around the group, Jon was the first
to answer a question: 'In Monopoly, how much do you get for
passing GO?' The answer came to him straight away: £200.
Correct - He made his way to the sofa to await the arrival
of more potential partners-in-fun.
The music quickly resumed and next to answer was Steph. 'How
many cards of each suit are there in a standard deck of playing
cards?' was the question, to which the flustered housemate
answered: 14. Wrong - it was 13.
Ray was the next one to get a go. 'In bingo, what number
is represented by the phrase clickety-click?' came his question,
but the Irishman didn't pick-up on the rhyming element and
guessed: 5. Wrong - it was 66.
Cameron was the next to be quizzed: 'In Scrabble, what is
the face value if the letter X?' An easy one for the regular
player: 8. Correct - Cam therefore joined an excitable Jon
on the sofa, who conceded that he wouldn't have known that
answer even for a million dollars.
Federico was next, but only after Scott graciously handed
over the parcel when they both had a grip on it as the music
stopped. 'What is the technical name of a person who plays
tiddlywinks?' was his question, to which Fed amusingly answered:
A winker! Correct - He joined Jon and Cam on the sofa.
Gos was next to answer with the question: 'In the start of
a game of chess, which piece stands between the rook and the
bishop?' His answer: Knight. Correct - The big guy joined
the other three as they all jumped up-and-down, whooping with
Tania was next. 'On a standard 6-sided dice, what number
is on the opposite side to 2?' was her question, to which
she guessed: 5. Correct - Tan was ecstatic at her lucky guess
and joined the boys on the sofa.
Scott was the last housemate to remove some wrapping paper,
making him the Winner. He would therefore automatically join
the sofa group and also had the chance to take one of the
'losers' with him.
From a choice of a Ray, Sissy and Nush, he went for the latter,
probably because Sissy had been in the Reward Room last week
and there was already plenty of boys in the winning group.
As the successful seven made their way to the secret room
for a few hours of fun, Steph seemed fine with it but Ray,
now the only housemate never to have experienced the room,
was obviously disappointed. A long-faced Sissy threatened
to go to bed and later moaned about how 'jammy' Jon was.
Oh dear, the house divided? Can't exactly say that we're
surprised - after all, that's just what Big Bro wanted.
