Celebrity Big Brother 5 UK housemates?
|Why are you taking part in Celebrity Big Brother
||"The show used to scare me a little, but I've
become addicted to Big Brother over the last couple of years. It's
dangerous and unpredictable, and I like to push myself. I've trained
with matadors before and don't think people should play anything too
|What do you think you'll get from the experience
of taking part in CBB5?:
||"I think I'll have a lot of fun in the BB House,
however I'm not really a good sharer, so I'll probably be the most
neurotically private person in there."
Cleo is best known for her work with Kenny Everett
on his legendary radio and television shows. She became Miss Whiplash
of his much-loved BBC1 show in the early 80s. Cleo and Kenny enjoyed
a 15-year friendship fuelled by fun and laughter until his tragic
death in 1995.
More recently Cleo has performed with Leigh Francis in sketches
for his Channel 4 series "Bo In The U.S.A", produced "The
Seven Year Itch" in the West End and is currently writing a
new comedy series - a stark contrast to her first job as a professional
Cleo was once kidnapped in Buenos Aires and counts Darryl Hannah
and Robbie Williams amongst her famous friends. She lives with her
mother, loves to eat Mexican salsa for breakfast and has a pet parrot
Current Game Status/ Position: Cleo Rocos came 7th Overall (out
of 14), lasting twenty-four days in the game.
Cleo was evicted at the 5th Eviction on Friday the 26th
of January 2007 (Day 24) when up-against Dirk Benedict, Ian Watkins, Jo
O'Meara and Shilpa Shetty. She received 28% in the public vote that evicted
her, and because it was a double eviction, Cleo left the House with the
8th-placed contestant, Jo.
The 'dual' eviction was arguably a bid by the show's producers to protect
Jo, as sending her out with a less-hated nominee was likely to invoke
a mixed reaction from the crowd. Otherwise Jo, who'd become something
of a hate figure, would have been seriously jeered, booed and chanted-at.
To re-iterate, the results of the 4th and 5th Evictions were announced
one after the other, and Cleo had just beaten Jo in terms of survival
in the game. However, both evictees left the House at the same time and
were interviewed together.
Prior to this, Cleo hadn't faced eviction as she avoided the vote by
her peers at the 2nd Eviction. See here
and here. Also, at
the 1st Eviction she was one of the 'servants' in the Masters and Servants
task, and was therefore safe.
1st (Day 9) - Cleo avoided facing eviction at
the first round because Carole was chosen by her peers to go 'up' instead.
This was a punishment by Big Brother, and the group couldn't nominate
Carole or Cleo as they might normally, but had to chose between them in
addition to giving their normal nominations. See here.
2nd (Day 15) - At the second round, Cleo received
3rd (Day 21) - Cleo was nominated by Dirk and Ian
at the third and final round of nominations.
