Jim's Proving A Hit With The Housemates

Jimmy held court with the group today as he told anecdotes about his marathon runs and friendship with The Beatles, before moving-on to the subject of being locked-up at her majesty's pleasure.

Sat in the lounge, the famous Yorkshireman asked in his usual stilted manner if anyone had ever been in the clink, prompting Rula to admit that she'd been inside for 5 months.

When quizzed by Chantelle about the matter, the redhead revealed that she'd done time because someone reported her for smoking wacky baccy. Rula reiterated that it was a very long time ago and was not in this country.

George told the group that he got locked-up for 1 day for being involved in a sit down protest outside a nuclear base. The politician nearly faced prison last year for alleged dubious dealings in Iraq.

Michael then asked Jimmy if he'd ever been in the slammer and received the witty retort, "No, this is the first time I've ever been in the 'nick!" The group laughed at his gag.

The TV legend then drew attention to Michael's career and praised his TV shows, saying they were funny, entertaining and captivating. "He broke the mould," said Jimmy of the fallen star.

Michael later visited the Diary Room and got slightly upset reflecting on Jim's kind comments, and guilty to boot for having taking the mick.

Although he's not staying overnight, it remains to be seen if the novelty value of having the nutty knight around will last.
