The Assault Course Task Result
The housemates donned protective jackets, gloves, 'potty'
style helmets and knee, shin and elbow pads this evening,
to complete the live task.
They each took a turn to traverse the assault course, with
Les getting off to a good start and finishing in 1 minute
19 seconds, despite performing another of his 'comedy falls'
by nearly coming-off the death slide at the end.
Next up was Sue, who was amused by the laser beams (yes,
real ones!) that she had to try and avoid. "Oh, it's
making an excellent Star Wars noise", she declared as
she stepped over one. Sue finished in 1 minute 38 seconds.
Mel went next, finishing in a reasonable 1 minute 28 seconds
,but little Mark zipped around the course showing great agility,
to finish in just 1 minute 11 seconds.
Big Brother decided not to add penalties for breaking the
laser beams, so the group had earned the right to see two
family videos. The all-knowing power had also scrapped the
idea to play an incriminating video clip, perhaps due to Sue's
downbeat visit to the diary room earlier in the evening?
In deciding which two housemates would get to see a tape,
Les said, "It would do me in," and Mark wasn't bothered.
So, Mel watched a touching message from hubby Wayne, telling
how her youngest son had gained another tooth since she'd
been in the house.
Sue watched a video featuring comedy partner Mel, who inevitably
messed around, told her she was doing great and wished her
To complete the rather out-of-character gesture, Big Brother
also provided the group with some much-appreciated supplies,
including wine, some snacks and a packet of fags for Mark
