Housemates Get Into The Festive
The housemates started Day 5 by reminiscing about Christmas'
Mel told Les that when she was about 3 or 4 years old, she
sneaked downstairs one Christmas Eve and unwrapped her presents.
"I really wanted a pair of roller skates. I got up to
unwrap my presents and when I saw I'd got a pair of roller
skates, I was so excited I couldn't wrap them back up. I had
to go and get my older brother out of bed to wrap them up
for me," recalled the ex-model.
This touching tale was countered when Sue took her turn to
tell a Christmas story. The comedian told how her parents
would be coming to stay for Christmas this year with a mock-sigh,
adding, "Which is going to be hell!"
The group later decided to cook a Christmas Roast dinner and
nearly everyone lent a hand.
Anne became head chef, barking out orders like the best of
'em. Sue was designated the best person to do the stuffing
and new-friends Les and Goldie teamed-up to do the chicken
and the 'taties
However, progress was scuppered when Goldie established that
they had no gravy granules, just stock cubes.
"What? No gravy granules," exclaimed the miffed
actor. But although the others tried to convince him that
there'd be plenty of juices from the meat, it just wasn't
good enough, so he trundled off to hassle Big Bro.
But will the all-seeing power play Father Christmas and provide
the party hats, gravy granules, parsnips and stuffing desired
by the group? Check back later to find out.
