Dale Told: "You'll Be In Final, But Won't Win"
During a conversation with Darnell, Luke and Rebecca tonight,
Dale was told that he probably won't win the £100k prize
The conversation began when Dale suggested that, contrary
to what his peers might think, it doesn't mean Rex is really
popular with fans if he survives against Belinda on Friday
Basically, he was saying that it'll be down to Belinda's
unpopularity if she goes, and while Dale subtly suggested
that the latecomer's demise would be because she hasn't had
a chance to show her personality, Bex was rather less subtle
and said, "People will vote her out because she's new".
In answer to that, Dale put forward the idea that newbies
(latecomers) aren't expected to do well in the game, just
to come into the House and 'mix it up'. If that's the accepted
theory, then it's pointless them coming-in, but he does have
a point in-that no latecomer has ever won the series and they
usually get voted-out quickly.
Rebecca then told Dale that he will definitely be in the
Big Brother 9 Final, but the Scouse DJ wouldn't accept it.
However, Darnell and Luke were also convinced that Dale will
make it to the last day of the series, and the former high-fived
his peers, saying, "I tell him that all the time".
But they built him up only to knock him down, because in
the next breath Bex said that Dale wouldn't win, and hinted
that a certain someone has it all sewn-up.
However, Dale thought she was talking about Rex,
and got faux-annoyed before laughing, then stating that the
rich Daddy's boy (our words, not his) doesn't need the prize
money. Bex was actually talking about Kathreya.
So, could Dale beat Kat if they both made it to the series
Finale? At this stage of the game, and having written this
article a week ago, we certainly wouldn't discount the possibility.
