Rex Riles The Housemates From Hell

Yesterday, the Heavenly Housemates benefited from their counterparts' spud-peeling efforts, when Big Brother provided the celestial seven with a fish and chip supper. So, imagine what the Hades crew felt like today when the others suggested that their exhausting cycling task would be easy.

The latest shopping budget task has a French theme, and while the angelic lot just have to sample wines wearing stripy jumpers and berets, the Hellish housemates must complete the Tour De France. Twice... all 1040 kilometres of it.

However, Rachel stated that she would rather be doing the cycling part of the task, where the participants (without Luke for now, he's ill) have to cycle an average of around 54 miles each.

Dale then suggested that it would be easy, and Darnell reckoned: "The only way to fail the cycling task is to not change in 30 seconds". The Head of House was referring to the fact that the Housemates from Hell are allowed just 30 seconds to swap riders.

But Rex had the gall to suggest that his group's part of the task was much harder.

"The cycling task should not be one that we fail; it's just about pushing yourselves hard," said the self-important chef, before adding, "The wine tasting task is very easy to fail".

Hmm, seeing as Rex was nominated by five out-of the seven cyclists at yesterdays fifth round of nominations, if he carries on like that he'll probably get the full compliment next week!
