Fourth Round Nominees Announced

Yesterday, the fourth round of nominations took place and everyone but the three newbies – Belinda, Maysoon and Sara – took part; that's twelve housemates in total.

The result is that this week's nominees are: Mario Marconi and Rebecca Shiner.

2nd and 3rd evictees Sylvia Barrie and Jennifer Clark both got evicted with around 90% in the public vote, however things are different this week and the 4th evictee definitely won't go by such a huge margin.

Rebecca was way ahead in our recent 'Who Do You Want Out Next?' Poll (40% vs Mario's 17%), which featured all the housemates (bar the newbies) and ran from Saturday morning until the nominees were announced today, Tuesday afternoon.

And having analysed the outcome of that Poll, it's easy to think that Rebecca might go this week with around 60 or 70% in the public vote (however, see below).

Bex' amusing love-hate relationship with Luke has been a highlight of the series for us, but her restless energy and childish behaviour at times has cancelled that out; she has definitely been annoying a lot of fans with her moodiness lately too.

Others went off her the minute she became allied to the bitchy b-block crew, and her involvement in the Fight Night II scenes, which provoked Dennis into spitting at Mo and consequently got him sent home, didn't do her any favours either.

However, rumours of this week's nominees were circulating this morning and a certain number of fans seemed convinced that Mario will go on Friday with around 60%, not Bex.

That flies in the face of our recent Poll, although now that fans actually have an opportunity to get shot of the serial 'bullshiner', rather than just voting in a hypothetical Poll, perhaps they'll take it?

Admittedly, Mario's continual management-speak, controlling behaviour and wild claims (most recently that he was a stuntman, doubling for Robbie Coltrane) grate on some fans; others love it and can't wait to see what he's gonna' say next.

It has already been suggested that there's some kind-of betting scam in operation, as there was the week Mario faced Stephanie (along with Lisa and Luke). By the end of that week, bookies were convinced that the facilitator would go, but the majority of votes came-in for Steph in the end.

Don't ask us what that was all about, suffice to say that some fans had trouble trying to vote Mario out.

So, to conclude, according to recent public opinion it really should be Bex leaving at the 4th Eviction this Friday, but it will likely be Mario... stranger things have happened (like Steph going when Mario was clearly ahead in our main Eviction Poll, a Poll which was 100% accurate last week).

See, it was worth reading this article after all, wasn't it? Ahem.

If you'd like to try winning yourself a few 'quid by predicting the outcome of the next eviction, please visit our Betting Zone and click one of the links to the bookies there. The 4th Eviction will take place on Friday the 11th of July and voting lines are now open. The voting telephone numbers are detailed in another article from our Latest News section.

Don't forget to go and vote in our Home page Poll relating to the 4th Eviction and remember, it's just for fun so you still need to register a phone vote or two if you desperately want rid-of either nominee.
