Viewing Figures Strong For Alex's Expulsion

Viewing figures for last night's show (Thursday the 20th of June) were strong, with Channel 4/+1 pulling-in 4.3 million viewers.

This is the largest figure since Big Brother 9 began two weeks ago, and blitzed BBC1, BBC2 and Five's offerings. Only the football on ITV had more viewers in the 9pm time slot.

Every year, the series always builds as the weeks go by, but it could be an indication that those who'd switched off due to Alexandra De-Gale's behaviour, will now be tuning-in again for the rest of the run.

Anyway, it rather shoots down the argument that non-fans always put forward at the beginning of each series, that Big Brother as a format is finished.

Clearly, many millions of people would beg to differ.
