The Group's Reaction To The Nominations

Big Brother did the traditional 'stringing it out' thing tonight when announcing this week's nominees, eventually declaring, in no particular order, that it was Alex and Mario.

When Alexandra's name was called, the gobby Croydon lass said, "Oooh. Are you joking?" Mario reacted to the mention of his name by simply smiling and nodding, but Lisa shook her head in disbelief.

"I'm sorry mate," said Michael in an attempt to console his best mate, but Mario claimed he wasn't worried. "Someone's gotta' go," added the big guy philosophically.

Alex then disappeared-off to the bathroom to get some time alone, but Mario caught-up with her later for a chat.

The accounts executive admitted that she was surprised to hear Mario's name called-out, believing there were 'bigger fish to fry' (she nominated Rex and Dennis).

A conversation followed whereby the pair sympathised with each other's theories and points, which included the fact that some people are fake, some are jealous, others have a gameplan and some don't speak-up to defend people.

Both nominees claimed that they'll be fine if they leave on Friday night, although Mario said it would be a shame for his girlfriend Lisa if he gets the chop.

She is unlikely to quit however, as Mario and Lisa decided last week that if one of them goes, the other will stay and fight-on in the game (see here).
