Japanese Task Causes Tension Before It Begins

The housemates got into Japanese mode this afternoon, but some were more enthusiastic than others over the latest task.

Here's what they all chose to do:

The Karate Chop - Dale.

Karate School - Darnell, Jennifer and Lisa.

Learning Japanese - Kathreya, Michael and Mohammed.

Endurance Karaoke - Alexandra, Dennis, Rebecca, Rex and Sylvia.

Chopstick Challenge - Luke, Mario and Rachel.

Predictably, there was a bit of tension over the choosing of who-did-what, with taekwondo expert Rachel suggesting she go to karate school, but ending-up with a pair of chopsticks.

Albino housemate Darnell claimed that he wouldn't be able to read the words for Karaoke, so swapped to karate, and Rex wasn't happy with Alex for insisting on doing karate.

But there was more hassle over their outfits, with Alex – having whitened her face – moaning, "I can’t be arsed with this. I look pathetic... this is exactly what I’m gonna' look like on my death bed".

Karate kid Jen told the mouthy accounts bod that she would rather wear the Geisha gear than her own black karate suit, and Luke had whinge about his flowery outfit, re-iterating to Mikey just how bad it was.

However, most of the group were geed-up about winning a luxury shopping budget for next week, although Sylvia later said something Alex suggested last time: that if they end-up with a basic food budget she wants to buy her own supplies.

Yep, that's the (team) spirit!
