Housemates Fail Shopping Budget Task
Yesterday, Dennis and Rachel were crowned the Most Persistent
Housemates after winning the first part of the shopping budget
task, an endurance test. Today, the pair joined forces to
try and win a luxury budget for the group, but ultimately
they failed... having tortured their peers in the process!
Big Bro gave the pair a picnic hamper as a reward last night,
but the dubious duo shunned the luxury food, thinking it might
affect the second part of the task if they ate it. They were
Today, all they had to do was guide a huge wand around a
long-and-winding copper track; a giant game of Buzz. Easy,
The pair were given two hours to successfully complete the
task and could have as many attempts as they liked in that
time. The thing is, there were quite a few rules about how
to hold the wand etc., and every time metal touched metal,
a buzzer sounded and their peers received an electric shock.

pads in their special catsuits temporarily stimulated their
muscles. The effect was the same though: whenever Dennis and
Rachel went wrong, their peers jumped off their chairs and
It was hilarious to watch at first, but after 30 minutes
and multiple tries, Alexandra started mouthing-off and suggested

After a quick vote though, eleven out-of the sixteen housemates
wanted to go on, but that didn't stop Alex subsequently taking-off
her suit and incurring the wrath of Rex, who said she wouldn't
get any food if they were successful.
Shrugging-off the pain, the optimistic chef reminded his
peers how good they would feel having plenty of food next
week. So, despite having incurred a number of fails due to
Sylvia removing her suit too, Den and Rach persevered for
the whole two hours.
However, although the persistent pair seemed to be doing
well at one point, ultimately they couldn't make it all the
way around the copper track without buzzing.
So, the housemates had failed the first group task, and instead
of receiving a luxury shopping budget of over £500 next
week, they now have just £1 per person, per day to spend.
Chick peas ahoy!
