Jonty Is The 3rd Favourite To Win! - Can He Do It?
Amazingly, nutty museum assistant Jonty has come from absolutely
nowhere to become the 3rd Favourite to win Big Brother 8,
toppling Amanda from that spot. And no, it's not April the
He came into the Halfway House last Friday night with the
odds of 25/1 to become the Outright Winner. However, he then
went from 33/1 through 40/1 and 50/1, ending-up at 66/1 briefly
on Tuesday. In other words, he wasn't exactly likely to win
at the start, and was much less-so some four days later.
However, the following day things changed dramatically, as
Jonty's odds fell to 33/1. And yesterday there was huge crash,
when he went through 20/1, 16/1, and 12/1, and ended-up at
10/1 behind only Liam and the bookies' current favourite Brian.
So, Amanda, Carole, Gerry and Sam are all less likely to
win the series if the bookies are to be believed. Blimey!
About the situation a spokesperson for online bookmaker Paddy
Power told us: "Jonty is the big market mover and it's
mainly because he's such a likeable character. He doesn't
have a bad word to say about anybody, and has even tried to
patch-up differences between the other housemates".
Indeed, although he came across as a bit of a weirdo at first,
prompting some fans to cruelly suggest that he was an 'unsuitable
babysitter', Jonty has turned-out to be a decent guy who can
hold an interesting conversation (without being boring like
Gerry) and also have fun.
With his teddies he is undoubtedly a quirky and eccentric
character, but he also appears to be quite harmless and we're
now wondering whether he could win?
After all, the Twins do absolutely nothing, Liam already
has £100k in his back pocket and there's serious concern
that the Brian we've been watching is merely a character,
a part of the data clerk's plan to try and win the game. Indeed,
we've written several articles over the past few weeks offering
Anyway, if you think the balding geek can take Monkety-Tunkety
all the way to 1st Place, you can currently get odds of 10/1
on Jonty winning the series. So, a bet of £10 could
win you £100 profit, £30 could win you £300
profit (plus your stake back).
Whatsmore, new customers can get a Free Bet of up to £25,
so perhaps it really is worth joining all the other people
who've backed the 36-year-old and forced his odds down recently?
