Charley Falters At First Hurdle To Fame & Fortune
It looks like Charley's career as a celebrity has faltered
at the first hurdle, and it's arguably down to her personality.
We wrote this
story last week saying that Charley was expected to earn a
six-figure sum for her 'story' (that's £100k+ for those
who can't grasp the numbers!) However, she's had to settle
for around a quarter of that after negotiations
with a top agent fell through over the weekend.
The confirmed ligger, who declared that she didn't intend
to get a proper job when she was in the House, was in discussions
with reputable agency John Noel Management when she came-out
on Friday night.
However, it seems that the company, who represent Big Brother
Host Davina McCall and BBLB presenter Dermot O'Leary, backed
out of talks with the oft-aggressive 22-year-old, seemingly
unable to work with her.
This is a company who've signed-up plenty of ex-BB housemates
over the years, so there must have been some real differences
for them to pass-up the opportunity.
Indeed, someone who's had to deal with Charley in a work
environment before told us, "She can be very difficult
to work with, and I'm not sure that she'll be particularly
good at taking advice".
Having eventually signed to a different agent over the weekend,
the upshot is that Charley missed the boat on the lucrative
deals which would have seen her story published in the Sunday
tabloids, and perhaps serialised for a few days in a related
daily paper e.g. NOTW and The Sun.
And to make matters worse, the fact that Chanelle quit on
Monday has definitely stolen some of Charley's thunder and
will undoubtedly have affected her earning power over the
coming days and weeks.
Some BB fans will doubtless be rubbing their hands with glee
over the news that Charley, who was voted-out by over 85%
of the voting public, hasn't had an easy start to her career
as a bona fide 'IT' girl.
