Lucky Liam Gets The £100,000

Recent arrival Liam McGough, who came into the Big Brother House just five days ago, was tonight awarded £100,000 by his peers. Jammy git!

During the first live show tonight, the plasma screen sprang into action showing the Diary Room chair and the dosh, and Big Brother boomed, "Housemates. In the Diary Room is one hundred thousand pounds. Big Brother will get back to you".

That was it; the all-scheming entity left the baffled housemates (and us) hanging.

A discussion ensued, with Laura doing her usual "I know what it is guys," (she never does) before declaring that she doesn't care about the money. Hmm... that might have been a mistake in hindsight.

The housemates were left to stew for an hour, in-which time Seany pressed the Diary Room button to see if anything would happen, Carole had an unrelated rant about wet towels, and Jonathan quipped about letting Charley have the cash, "If it gets rid of her, I think it's a bargain".

Ha ha! A man after our own hearts, BB fans!

When the second live show started, Davina handed-over to Big Bro, who duly asked nominees Carole, Jonathan and Seany to come to the Diary Room.

They were then told that they weren't eligible to receive the £100,000 mentioned earlier, but had to decide which of their peers should get it instead. Big Bro made it clear that the £100k sat in front of them in a glass case was the actual Big Brother Prize fund.

The rest of the group were watching on the sofa and duly erupted with excitement. Billi suggested that they should make a pact to split it, Chanelle claimed that Carole would probably choose her, and Charley thought it was all fake.

Back in the Diary Room, the nominees were told that they had one minute to decide, that they could not choose someone at random and that their peers wouldn't see their decision-making process.

Initially Seany wanted Laura, Carole said Ziggy and Jonathan went for Amanda. However, after a short discussion about how the Twins will do okay anyway, Jon said he couldn't choose Laura, and neither could Carole – Laura nominated both of them this week, and Carole nominated Laura.

Jonathan then said that he could do Ziggy, but when Carole mentioned Liam's name the others instantly agreed, and that was that. Liam would get the life-changing amount of money.

The trio were told to re-join the group and within a matter of just 30-seconds, Big Bro asked Carole to announce that 22-year-old tree surgeon Liam had been elected to receive the cash.
