Paris Hilton Set To Appear On Big Brother?

Last year saw dizzy Paris Hilton lookalike and (at-the-time) complete nobody Chantelle Houghton win Celebrity Big Brother 4, but the real hotel heiress may be set to enter the Big Brother House in the new year.

The famous American party girl, who's a sometime model, actress and recording artist, has apparently been offered hundreds-of-thousands of pounds to appear on Celebrity Big Brother 6 in January 2008.

And the 26-year-old millionaire is actually considering the offer, as she's said to be keen to raise her profile in the UK and prove that she's not just an airhead.

A show insider said about Paris, "The only time anyone hears about her is when she's been up to no good or says something stupid, but she's actually smart and funny, with lots of interesting things to say".

"Paris would easily be the star of the show, but obviously she won't do it unless the money is right."

Indeed, the socialite could even get £500,000 or more, because unknown (in this country) Bollywood superstar Shilpa Shetty got £300,000 for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother 5 earlier this year.

Paris is no stranger to Reality TV, having appeared with Lionel Ritchie's daughter Nicole in five seasons of The Simple Life, and the IT girl has also had experience of being locked-up, having been sent to jail for 23 days in June for driving offences.

The only thing is, after a summer of watching wannabe IT girl Charley, pointless glamour girl Amy and complete thickies Brian and 'Samanda', do we really need more of the same in the form of Paris Hilton, however famous she is?
