Shock Twist: The Gurus Ultimately Decide Who Goes

First Ziggy was crowned the 'Mind Guru', then Samanda (the Twins) won the title of 'Body Guru', and tonight Tracey became the third Guru after proving that she was masterful in matters of the Soul.

So, those three housemates are now immune from possible eviction, and either Brian, Carole, Gerry, Jonty, Kara or Liam will get the boot on Friday night.

However, although we expect there to be just one eviction this week (there's a double eviction planned for the following Friday), Big Bro has implemented a now-customary twist which will see the Gurus ultimately deciding who gets sent home, not the voting public.

Fans will still play a part though, as voting lines will open on Wednesday night and the public will put two people forward to face possible eviction; basically, the two people who receive the most votes.

Those two housemates will then face the three Gurus live on Friday night, and one will be sent home after a majority vote by the enlightened trio. The Gurus themselves will not become aware of the twist until Friday night's live eviction show.

This shock twist has shades of Big Brother 6 about it, when Vanessa Layton-McIntosh was controversially sent home by her peers in a similar way.

However on that occasion, although it seemed like an exciting twist in theory, it turned-out to be very emotional and cruel bombshell in the end for the unsuspecting evictee; it was very difficult to watch as Vanessa got upset by the almost unanimous vote against her.

Still, it should make for some compelling viewing on Friday, but if fans want to make things less predictable they really need to play the game and vote tactically, perhaps registering votes for the likes of Brian and Carole? (the latter being the most hated housemate according to Polls).

Otherwise, it will inevitably be Kara and Carole up this week and the former is very likely to go, seeing as the Gurus get the final say and not the viewers.
