Big Brother Boxing

Maxwell has been criticised for being too aggressive and for threatening near-violence recently, but now Science has suggested that the housemates should have a punch-up to settle their disputes!

Okay, so he wasn't being as serious as Maxwell was over the Cidergate scandal, but the wordsmith visited the Diary Room today to put forward his idea for 'Big Brother Boxing'.

Cleverly steering around the fact it would involve pummeling your opponent to win an argument, Science instead drew attention to the fact that it's a sporting way to settle disagreements.

Hmm... if we had a disagreement with ear-biting ex-boxer Mike Tyson, we'd probably be tempted to keep our mouth shut, rather than dive into the ring to 'settle it like gentlemen!'

Although he often adopts an aggressive tone in his voice, Science insisted to Big Bro that he's not a violent man. "I'm a lover of nature, a lover of life," he explained.

That said, the slight music man then pondered the idea of getting Maxwell into the ring.

Dubbing his potential opponent 'as ignorant as a pig', Science said of the potential match-up, "He underestimates my skinny physique. I'd wipe the floor with him".

We're not so sure about that, but Science has had his opponents 'on the ropes' many times during arguments over the past five weeks. However, maybe he should stick to the verbal dust-ups, rather than the physical?

Of course, we don't expect a full-blown fight to break out this year, no more than we expect Vanessa to suddenly become the life and soul of the party and live up to her 'wacky' self-image.

Mind you, you can't help wondering who'd have the upper hand in a bout between the lyrical Leeds boy and the loud-mouthed Londoner!
