Betting Scam Suspected

The result of Friday night’s 1st Eviction came as something of a surprise to us here at BBO, so much so, that we’re not alone in suspecting that a betting scam has taken place.

We say this partly because Polls around the net, which are there to gauge public opinion by their very definition, indicated that Craig would go.

Of course they can never be 100% accurate for a number of reasons; for instance: when lots of the people who vote in website Polls for free don’t actually pay to vote in the telephone voting.

Still, we’re a little perplexed as our Poll had it 60/40 for Craig to go, but the actual result was 60/40 in favour of Mary.

NEVER have our Polls been so inaccurate, least of all so wildly inaccurate. We’ve checked the log files (as we do continuously when the Poll is live) to make sure the votes are genuine.

And normally when polling over 2000 Big brother fans, it gives a pretty good idea of public opinion.

Also, allegedly the bookies took lots of money on Mary quite late in the day on Friday, after she’d reached reasonably good odds against Craig.

Oh well, hey ho.

Actually, maybe Thursday and Friday night’s TV coverage swung it, as fans were accusing Channel 4 of blatant editing against first Craig, then Mary?

Perhaps Channel 4 had the voting lines configured the wrong way round even, we’ll never know?

But it’s one have thing having an unpredictable show, it’s an entirely different matter watching a sham in action. If true, it seems that this is one thing Big Brother can't control.
