Betting Scam Suspected
The result of Friday night’s 1st Eviction came as something
of a surprise to us here at BBO, so much so, that we’re
not alone in suspecting that a betting scam has taken place.
We say this partly because Polls around the net, which are
there to gauge public opinion by their very definition, indicated
that Craig would go.
Of course they can never be 100% accurate for a number of
reasons; for instance: when lots of the people who vote in
website Polls for free don’t actually pay to vote in
the telephone voting.
Still, we’re a little perplexed as our Poll had it
60/40 for Craig to go, but the actual result was 60/40 in
favour of Mary.
NEVER have our Polls been so inaccurate, least of all so wildly
inaccurate. We’ve checked the log files (as we do continuously
when the Poll is live) to make sure the votes are genuine.
And normally when polling over 2000 Big brother fans, it
gives a pretty good idea of public opinion.
Also, allegedly the bookies took lots of money on Mary quite
late in the day on Friday, after she’d reached reasonably
good odds against Craig.
Oh well, hey ho.
Actually, maybe Thursday and Friday night’s TV coverage
swung it, as fans were accusing Channel 4 of blatant editing
against first Craig, then Mary?
Perhaps Channel 4 had the voting lines configured the wrong
way round even, we’ll never know?
But it’s one have thing having an unpredictable show,
it’s an entirely different matter watching a sham in
