Weekly Task: Cowboys And Cowgirls
The theme from classic 60's Western 'Rawhide' was played into
the House this morning to signify the start of a new task:
The Big Brother Rodeo.
We shall resist the temptation to say: 'Yee-ha'. Damn!
For this latest task, the six housemates will don chaps, stetsons
and other cowboy-related clobber, and learn a skill from the
Wild West. Three housemates will learn to line dance, mastering
and including 10 specific moves in their routine.
Two housemates will become sharp shooters, carrying special
light-guns in their holsters and learning to accurately shoot
at a tin can alley, knocking all the cans and bottles down
within 1 minute.
The final housemate will become an expert with the lasso,
successfully 'capturing' a stationary bull twice within 90
seconds.
When deciding who would do what for the task, 70's dancer
Anthony originally wanted to do the line dancing, but Makosi
muscled-in on that, so in the end he settled for being the
lassoer.
Derek and Eugene bagsied the guns, which left Makosi, Craig
and Kinga as dancers, the latter not having any say in the
matter at all.
That all sounds straight-forward enough, but the fly in the
ointment is that all six must also have a go at riding a bucking
bronco machine, notching-up a combined time of 6 minutes in
the saddle.
Er, now that we know that, we're a bit fearful for their chances
of success to be honest!
Check back soon to see how they get on.
