1st Big Brother 6 Evictee: It’s Mary

In something of a surprise (to us) move, Mary O'Leary has become the first evictee of Big Brother 6, receiving 60% of the public vote against fellow nominee Craig's 40%.

When told the news by Davina, a previously nervous-looking Craig and an apprehensive Mary obviously had totally different reactions:

Mary looked more serious and worried than ever before, not to mention gutted. You couldn’t help but feel for her.

Craig, on the other hand, looked chuffed to bits and rejoiced, saying, "Oh, my God!" over-and-over again as he jumped for joy. Hmm, tactful.

The young victor apologised to Mary, but the 30-year-old white witch was cool about it, saying, "No, well done". Maxwell told Mary she looked great and jokingly asked her to have a bevvy for him on the outside.

When it came time to leave the house, Max tried to lighten the mood in the way that only he can, by saying, "’T*ts out’ and all that!" He meant ‘stand proud’, not literally ‘strip off and flaunt your bits!’

Mary curtsied to crowd at the top of the stairs and soon made her way down to the podium to meet Davina.

A quick stop for the press, where Evictee No.1 dramatically flicked her hair, and Mary was off down the 'walk of shame' to meet the crowd.

She was inevitably greeted by a few boos but many more cheers as the pair headed towards the studio reading the banners as they walked.

So, that's one down, twelve to go.
