Nothing Compares To Lesley's Singing

At Mary's Birthday party tonight the housemates decided to have a sing-song for fun, but a certain member of the group seemed to think that she was auditioning for Pop Idol!

Confident in her ability, Lesley started things off and was soon followed by Max, who gave a fairly tuneless version of an already dull song, Take That's 'Never Forget'.

Sam was next to sing into the pretend mic, with a failed attempt at 'I've Had The Time Of My Life' from Dirty Dancing. Due to the fact that she didn't know many of the words, her performance just fizzled-out in the end and so she sat back down. Thankfully.

Next Craig, perhaps showing some of the flamboyancy he promised earlier in the day, launched into an amusingly camp cabaret-cum-opera version of Britney's 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' complete with dance routine.

Darius Danish, eat your heart out!

Despite Mary's begging, the hair-stylist wouldn't do a repeat performance, but there were a couple of housemates willing to take to the floor for a second go: Makosi and Lesley.

Makosi insisted on performing Karyn White's 'Superwoman' twice, both times in a strange 'spoken' style, before eventually singing properly when encouraged by the group.

"Don't sing. I like to hear my own voice," warned the make-believe Princess before embarking on her first effort.

But after Kemal's funny rendition of 'Another Day In Paradise', Lesley grabbed the audience's full attention with a cracking version of Alicia Keys' 'If I Aint Got You', earning herself a round of applause.

However, she then hogged the limelight by launching into Celine Dion's 'Think Twice'.

And later, after Max's 'Baggy Trousers,' Science's rap (surprise), Rob's Depeche Mode song 'It's No Good', Derek's few bars and Saskia's 'Big Spender,' would-be Pop Idol Lesley attempted 'Nothing Compares To You', before belting-out 'Promise Me' and 'Don't Be A Stranger'.

Okay, so she's no Sinead, Beverley or Dina, but thankfully she's no Michelle Bass either.

You remember... BB5... task... absolutely terrible singing?

'Pie Jesu', anyone?!
