The fifth round of nominations took place yesterday afternoon,
but as per every other week so far, a Save & Replace task
was to come.
That task, 'The Duel', took place today, where Steve played
the part of the officiating Sheriff as the three nominees
fired paintball guns at a target on their opponent's back.
First Caoimhe duelled against Corin and the former won. Then
Caoimhe took on Ife but there was no winner. And finally Corin
went against Ife, but there was no winner again.
So, Caoimhe won the task and therefore got the opportunity
to choose someone else to face eviction in her place. After
some deliberation she chose Mario, because he was the safest
in her view.
"I'm so sorry, I just don't know what to do," she
said, having picked-up the former mole's picture and placed
it on the board alongside Corin and Ife's pics. The Irish
DJ reiterated to Mario that she was sorry for choosing him
as she sat back down.
This was the second week in a row that Caoimhe had saved
herself, and the second time this series that Mario has been
chosen as the replacement contender for eviction. Caoimhe
could have chosen Ben, Dave, John, Josie or Steve instead,
but the three newbies – Andrew, Keeley and Rachel –
were not eligible to be chosen.
So, Corin, Ife and Mario face the public vote, and at this
early stage it looks like Ife might go, possibly because she
has been bitching about Ben – a popular character with
Big Brother fans – and hinted that she would have put
him in her place if she'd won the duel.
Who goes? YOU decide!
The voting telephone lines will open on Wednesday evening
and we'll detail the numbers in our Nominations section when
they do. In the meantime, you can vote in our Fifth Eviction
Poll, which you'll find in our Big
Brother Polls section.
