Every series since Big Brother began in the year of the new
millennium, the 1st Evictee has always been female. And that
trend continued until the end, because Big Brother 11 is the
last series of the show in the UK, and the first person to
get booted-out last night was Rachael White.
In 2000 it was hippy-chick Sada Walkington, and during Big
Brother 2 it was nutty schoolteacher Penny Smith. In the series
that made a star out-of Jade Goody, the first housemate to
get the boot was feisty Scot Lynne Moncrieff, not that many
of you will remember her!
Sexy Anouska Golebiewski went first during Big Brother 4,
and the following year saw South African student Vanessa Nimmo
leaving as the 1st Evictee. Mystical punk Mary O'Leary was
the first to go during Big Brother 6, and the following year
it was Bonnie Holt.
Nutty receptionist Shabnam Paryani went first during Big
Brother 8, but the following year it looked like the trend

We don't have an elaborate explanation for why a girl always
went first, but just looking at those names and thinking back,
some of them would definitely have been thought-of by fans
as too posh, too annoying, too nutty, too mouthy, too weird
or even too sexy for their own good.
