Rachel was announced as the 1st Evictee of the series tonight.
To increase tension and drag things out, Davina had already
told Shabby that she was definitely safe. However, that doesn't
necessarily mean the gobby squatter was third in
the public vote, because it was made clear that the announcement
was done 'in no particular order'.
In other words, Shabby may have been second in the public
vote and could have been close to the 1st Evictee in terms
of how many votes (to evict) she received. We'll never know,
because in a three-way vote, Channel 4 never releases the
figures for the second and third-placed contenders.
Anyway, when Davina addressed the House for a second time
and announced Rachael as the 1st Evictee, the Beyonce look-alike
just gave a knowing nod, smiled and said to her peers: "Told
ya'". There was little reaction from the group, although
Sunshine became concerned for herself having heard the crowd's
chants of 'Get Sunshine out'.
When told to leave by Big Brother, Rachael fought back the
tears as she walked calmly up the stairs, before giving her
peers a little wave and exiting via the double doors to the
sound of what else but 'Crazy In Love'.
The 23-year-old looked very much deflated as she posed for
the press, and just one interview stood between her and the
Rachael White received 37.5% in the public vote, and only
faced eviction due to be chosen by David earlier in the week.
To clarify, she wasn't one of the nominees originally; see
to remind yourself what happened.
