So, A Female Goes First... Again!
Big Brother is now in it's 10th Anniversary year and the
first person to leave the House has always been a woman up
until now. Well, that trend continued tonight. Spooky!
During the original UK series, hippy-chick Sada Walkington
got kicked-out of the Big Brother House first; the following
year the first person to leave was nutty school teacher Penny
Trainee barrister Sunita Sharma quit the game after a week
during Big Brother 3, although the first evictee was a woman
too, feisty Scot Lynne Moncrieff. Sexy Anouska Golebiewski
got the boot after just one week the following year, but the
public later regretted their decision to get rid-of her so
In 2004, would-be rebel Kitten Pinder was disqualified after
just one week in the Big Brother 5 House. The same series
saw Michelle Bass get sent to the bedsit (with Emma Greenwood),
later coming back to the House only to be returned to the
bedsit and then sent home. The 1st Evictee proper was also
female, South African Vanessa Nimmo.
Big Brother 6's 1st Evictee was mystical punk Mary O'Leary,
and for BB7 the first to go was Bonnie Holt, who got evicted
the day after Dawn Blake was removed from the game for cheating.
Nutty receptionist Shabnam Paryani lost in the first public
vote of Big Brother 8 when up-against Carole and Tracey, however
the first person to actually leave the House was quitter Lesley
Brain, soon to be followed by Emily Parr who got removed from
the game for uttering racist language.
In the summer of 2008, although it looked like Mario Marconi
was set to go first, there was a huge swing in public opinion
during the week resulting in Stephanie McMichael getting the
old heave ho instead. And now, Beinazir Lasharie has become
the first person to exit the House during Big Brother 10.
So, next year you know what to do...
Get down the bookies and put your money on a female contestant
being the first person to leave. After all, it seems that
there can be no other outcome.
