Food Glorious Food
Having been on a diet of next-to-nothing during the Boot Camp
task and having had no real luxury food since they entered
the house, Nadia and Ahmed struck up a conversation about
'top nosh' this morning.
It began when Ahmed mentioned that in Italy bread is always
provided with meals in restaurants, but in Britain you have
to ask for it and sometimes pay for it.
He then turned his attention to pasta, moaning that restaurants
here generally give a small amount of cheese with a meal costing
£7, whereas in other countries they leave it on the
table for you to help yourself.
As the pair discussed chillis, cherries and the fact that
Ahmed likes a slice of lemon with meat and fish, they weren't
doing themselves any favours indulging in the mouthwatering
With talk of possible main courses out of the way, their attentions
turned to coffee; Ahmed preferring cappuccino with cold cream
and Nadia favouring the bog standard variety.
"You don't like (cappuccino) for reasons of diet?"
said Ahmed, not exactly tactfully, but the Portuguese food-lover
simply stated that she doesn't like the froth and the taste.
After yet more coffee-based conversation, covering the intricacies
of cafe latte and other varieties, Nadia ended the chat by
