Weekly Task: Spirit of Glastonbury
Getting into the spirit of the recent Glastonbury 2004 weekend,
the housemates were set a music festival based task today.
Having been provided with their very own scaled-down Stonehenge
and a portaloo which they must use, Big Bro also switched
off the gas hob and provided them with camping stoves for
all their cooking.
The all-seeing power also supplied ten mini instruments, which
they used to form a band. When a snippet of 'Sweet Child O
Mine' was played into the house, the group had 20 seconds
to don 'rock star' wigs and jackets, and start performing.
For the second day of the task (Tuesday), the group will have
a poetry face off, whereby they'll split into pairs and write
an ode to their partner. Let's just hope that Michelle's isn't
For the final day of the task, the housemates will split into
two teams and each will be provided with a guitar, a tambourine,
dodgy 'folk musician' jumpers and of course, the obligatory
They will be required to write a folk song which must incorporate
certain words - one team's ditty must include the words 'pipe',
'Shrewsbury' and 'fair maiden', while the other team must
get 'barley', 'heritage' and 'bicycle' into their song.
If the folks do well and pass the task, Big Brother will throw
them a Full Moon party, where the housemates will receive
fluorescent body paint, hippy tracks, henna tattoos and tie-dye
However, if they manage to fail the task, there will be no
party and no shopping for a week. Just think, the skanky toilet
theme could continue if they fail, as there'll be zilch in
way of toilet rolls next week!
