Has BB Gone Soft On Us?
Big Brother started this series with an evil streak, but has
it lost some of its power to the housemates?
After all, it was Big Bro who planned the whole bedsit scenario,
which was destined to cause fireworks no matter who went in.
However, the not-so-evil entity has since given-in and supplied
ciggies when Nadia and others nearly went nuts suffering from
nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
Then it postponed an eviction to allow the housemates to settle
down and also scrapped last week's main task, which could
have lowered the contestants' overall prize fund.
Admittedly, it did 'boot Emma out of the house in a hugely
controversial move, but then that was for its own good really.
In other words, if Emma had come back and things all kicked-off
again, could the show really afford to lose two or three culprits?
Effectively, then, Emma was made something of a scapegoat
but the production team's recent suggestion that they could
replace all the housemates if they wanted-to, is rather
wide of the mark. That, surely, would be a TITANIC error of
So who's running the show now... Vic and Jay, or Big Brother?
After all, the game-playing pair talk about nominations all
the time but not much happens about it. Come on Big Bro, let's
see that evil side back in action.
Punish the housemates, penalise them, annoy them... just do
something to shake things up. Otherwise, it's 'gonna
be 'Butlins Brother 5' and your threats to wield power will
seem as empty as Jason's recent threats to quit.
And we certainly don't want the moody meathead quitting, do
we Big Brother fans? Nah, that would just take away all our
fun come the next eviction!
