The Lads Reflect On 'Piggygate'
Into the early hours of Day 36 the lads discussed the situation
that erupted between Tania and Gae on Day 32.
Talking about the African's surprise visit, Ray remarked,
"It took a day-and-a-half to get used to it".
Scott then told how he thought that Gae was 'sound' from the
off, but was a bit shaken by the 'piggygate' scandal on his
"I don't think he knew," offered Gos, referring
to the fact that Gae innocently called Tania 'piggy' due to
her continual scoffing of fodder.
This prompted Scot to reply, "No, he didn't know (that
it would offend), but part of me was thinking he shouldn't
have said it. He didn't do it on purpose and Tania took it
to heart too much".
"But I was still thinking 'f***, now he's upset her it's
going to be a bad atmosphere.'"
The boys then reflected on how the feuding pair started with
a clean sheet the following day and were eventually laughing
and joking with each other.
There was mutual admiration between the boys for the way that
Tania accepted Gae's apology and got on with it.
That's good then: Gae was never really in the bad books of
the lads, but both he and Tania have been redeemed of any
bad feeling from the tight trio.
