Opinion Polls - Who's Right?

There's only about 24 hours to go now, until the 3rd person gets booted-out of the Big Brother House; but who are the polls saying is likely to go?

By their very nature, polls try to ascertain public opinion but it seems that for this impending eviction, things they are all over the place.

Firstly, Channel 4's breakfast TV show RI:SE had the following result this morning (Thursday), with the percentage figure indicating how many people want rid-of the relevant contestant:

Fed - 40%
Jon - 23%
Sissy - 37%

So, it looks like RI:Se viewers at least, want rid of the Glasgow chauvinist, probably after his comments about women during last night's party.

However, having looked around at other polls we've noticed there's a couple with the following contradictory figures, suggesting that Sissy will be the one to go:

Federico - 32%
Jon - 8%
Sissy - 60%

But then we found an ongoing poll on the site of a leading UK ISP and their current results said:

Federico - 46%
Jon - 17%
Sissy - 37%

And our very own Poll, from the Home page of the Big Brother Online site, currently (Thursday evening) totally contradicts the former poll with:

Federico - 38%
Jon - 14%
Sissy - 47%

Okay, so in a bit of quirk ours is 1% short of the full 100, but that will probably iron itself out as the poll continues. What this means though, is that we genuinely have no idea who's going to leave tomorrow and we're a bit puzzled.

Obviously, Jon isn't in the running, but we're scratching our heads as-to how the polls can be so different. All we can say is that we've never known ours to be so wrong, but it remains to be seen whether that will be the case this week.

We'll continue to change our 'voting' opinion Polls throughout Big Brother 4 but if you have any ideas and suggestions for general fun polls, please let us know. Also, if you've got our own idea who's likely to leave this Friday, why not head over to our Betting Zone section to try and beat the bookies?
