The Group's Reaction
Some housemates hung-on to the vague hope of passing the
task this afternoon, despite everyone knowing full-well that
As Big Brother ordered the disheartened ten to 'down bells'
and come inside, Tania exercised some wishful thinking by
saying, "They may pass us?"
However, after a 20-minute wait with the group sat chatting
about what they would spend this week's £32.25 shopping
budget on (less bread, more cider), Big Brother put the guy's
out of their misery:
"Housemates failed to perform the correct sequence of
notes during the task," said the voice of Big Bro, but
the mischievous group defiantly tried to drown it out by singing/shouting
the very song they'd just failed to perform on the bells!
Steph wasn't happy, stating that actually being able to hear
the bells had put everyone off, suggesting that they weren't
given enough time to familiarise themselves with the live
Also complaining that it was unfair, Fed reasoned that, "We
needed an outrageous fluke (to pass)", and described
the result as 'soul destroying'.
However, as bad-feeling towards the omnipresent power grew,
Tania was called into the diary room and emerged with some
news that would put a smile on the faces of the entire group.
For their considerable efforts in learning the task, Big
Bro had decided to reward the group with a Chinese meal and
refreshments if they could successfully name the song - too
bl**dy right Big B, well done!
The group was ecstatic at the news and after much deliberation,
delivered the title, 'An English Country Garden' to the not-so-harsh
power. Close enough.
So, there would be celebrations tonight after all, proving
that Big Brother isn't a completely heartless b***ard!
