Weekly 'Bell Ringing' Task Result

The group have today failed the weekly bell ringing task, making this the third time in a row they've been unsuccessful.

The previous tasks, a pedalo marathon and a cub scouting test, were failed due to the mistakes of one person, Fed. However, the lazy waiter wasn't to blame today, despite his recent attitude that they were doomed to fail.

As the group stood in the sun at around 3pm this afternoon, they were allowed to practice ringing their own live bells but not to play the tune in sequence. Cam was the first to establish that some of the group had the same notes to play.

After 30 minutes and lots of banter about technique, Big Bro called an end to the practice session and asked them to begin their performance. They had ten minutes and two attempts to get it right.

You could really feel the tension as the first attempt got under way, revealing the mystery tune to be: 'English Country Garden'.

However, it all went pear-shaped as the performance stumbled and never recovered. "We've failed already, let's just do it again," said one member somewhat paradoxically, but referring to the fact that they had a second chance available.

The second attempt was stilted but correct, until Ray missed his turn and amusingly gave-up by jiggling his bells very quickly!

"Houston, we have a problem," said Steph as the group realised that they'd failed, but soldiered-on regardless in a bid to prove that they could do it.

The third, fourth and fifth attempts all started well, but things inevitably went a bit 'Pete Tong' and eventually Big Bro called an end to the proceedings.

And that, as they say, was that - 3 tasks, 3 failures!
