Group Fail Task, But Who's To Blame?

Within minutes of completing their gruelling 3-day pedalo task, Big Brother has advised the group that they failed; but who was to blame?

During the task, it was touch-and-go at one point as the revolution counter was seen to drop to 60rpm, the absolute minimum speed the housemates had to sustain at all times.

Along the way, the guys even had a discussion about how they didn't trust the girls to do a stint in the pedalo throughout the night.

This particularly cheeky conversation was instigated by Federico and just take a guess who was responsible for failing the task?

Yep, none other than the Italian beanpole himself!

For 72 hours solid, the twelve housemates managed to keep peddling continuously and never once dropped below the required 60+rpm. They even kept within the allowed limit of 20 seconds each time there was a changeover. So, what went wrong?

On Day 5 at 5.17pm, Fed was peddling away with Anouska by his side when he decided to get out of the pedalo and grab a packet of chewing gum nearby.

He wasn't out for long, but the rules clearly stated that two people must remain in the pedalo at all times, except during changeovers.

Nice one Fed, you muppet!

Why he didn't just ask another housemate to pass him the chuddy is beyond us. But a concerned Fed knew he'd done wrong and scuttled-off to the diary room shortly after completing his stint to talk to Big Bro - the worried Scot was told to wait and see.

As the all-seeing power announced the bad news to a somewhat peed-off group this afternoon, the finger wasn't pointed directly at Fed, but he owned-up anyway.

"I've f****d it up, I know I have," said the guilty waiter, as it began to sink-in that as a direct result of his blasé attitude, the group would have just £57.25 to spend on next week's shopping. Or, to put it another way, 74 pence per housemate, per day. Oh dear.

Still, they took the news well and were politely dismissive of Fed as he whimpered an apology, letting him off and suggesting that they 'never speak of it again'.

But nomination time is just around the corner and you have to wonder if memories of today's crushing disappointment will come flooding back in the Diary Room next week?

Keep it here to find out.
